Boden  – Free Gift Campaign

Boden is a British clothing retailer selling primarily online and by mail order and catalogue. It was founded by Johnnie Boden in 1991 as a mail-order business. The company sells in several countries, with websites for the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, and Australia.

The Strategy

The Boden Affiliate team wanted to create a site wide overlay campaign, promoting  their ‘Free Gift’ offer.

All creatives used were in correlation to the SS17 collection which enabled us to create a campaign that felt like a natural and intuitive extension of the site.

Advanced heat mapping became active after 3 seconds on Desktop.
Touchscreen campaigns were triggered after 30 seconds.

Learnings

We saw strong returns in Revenue and Sales at +2,000 and +£190k respectively.

AOV on desktop was +£111 and whereas touchscreen was +£92 (+£95 overall AOV).

This meant that AOV was +17% higher on desktop following the industry wide trend that suggests users are still more comfortable making higher value purchases on desktop vs touchscreen.

Engagement was +7.4%, +1.4% higher than sector average which is a testament to strong, clean cut creatives.
